There is entirely too much money allowed in political races on both sides.
I totally agree. There should be a set budget allowance for each political office campaign. Then there would be equal opportunity for each to state his/her political objectives and not spend so much time raising money. Something like a Governor, U.S. Senate allowed $1 Million campaign expenditures. Each office a candidate campaigns for and set allowance, seems like the most sensible solution to me.
That would also take out the special interest paybacks that each politician feels obligated to satisfy after receiving money from them.
You don't think George Soros has any political sway? That his money does not impact politics and promote his own ideology? I assume that is what you were alluding to, with your mention of Citizens United.
