Think about it. The one thing that is killing George Bush is unemployment and that cannot keep getting uglier into the next election so if I were him, I would be all over how to fix it. The difference is, I would try to get to the root of the problem and he may take the short cut and see how to calculate them there numbers a bit "diferntly."
but calculating numbers differently (again) can only work in the short term. in the long term, the evidence will show up elsewhere if not just there (e.g. consumer confidence numbers).
hey, wasn't that a "jobs and growth" package they all just passed? perhaps the solution this time is to rename the budget amendment to "jobs and rebuilding iraq".
