Zeev -- I've been meaning to ask you something about new lows...
The Naz rallied over 50% from the March lows. Now, with it still up 40% on the year (as it was at the lows), why would there be a large increase in new lows? I realize you're not talking hundreds, but it seems to me that the 50% up rising tide has carried most things quite far from their lows... so it will take more time and deeper retrenches (which may or may not come) to get that figure to pop up. Have you ever tested other periods of 50% swings within a year? (Actually, wouldn't be a big enough sample size to be statistically valid, I suspect.)
Anyway, do the turnips factor this huge runup into their new high/new low figgering?
