Clinton took up the offer for his lawyer to attend the hearing he decided to attend voluntarily. Judiciary will look at the evidence and government lawyers, who serve the public (are non-partisan), will look at the question whether or not the freeze of aid was lawful. One or more could either support or undermine Trump's defense. Kirschner suggests Giuliani better get prepared to take the fall, as Cohen was forced to. He thinks Rudy's 'insurance policy' could end up getting him in trouble, as Cohen's tape did. Consensus of the participants in the video is that Trump will have a lot of trouble distancing himself from Giuliani.
