Ezra Klein On Historic Impeachment Vote | The Last Word | MSNBC Oct 31, 2019
"Ari Melber: Evidence Points To AG Barr Abusing Law Enforcement Powers | MSNBC"
MSNBC Ezra Klein joins Lawrence O’Donnell on the day when Nancy Pelosi led the Democrats in their first formal vote on the impeachment inquiry—and why Americans should be more confident about the act of impeachment. Aired on 10/31/19.
O'connell begins with K Conway's "dirty little secret", "They don't have the votes." Which proves... Klein, suggests the Republican theory that no Republican president should be accountable for anything while in office is constitutionally scary. He reminds us that this in an inquiry process, and suggests those who say there is no valid reason for it have lost all claim to be seen "as constitutional conservatives."
He says the most dangerous of all is that the most powerful and involved Trump supporters, and Trump himself, don't see they are doing anything wrong. Klein suggested a Madison position on impeachment. See below.
We know Trump's paranoia makes him believe any and all conspiracy theories about him, which are used in his defense.

Trump Can Be Impeached for Removing Marie Yovanovitch By Ashwin Phatak Oct 24, 20192:06 PM [...] Madison’s defense of the president’s power to remove officers like the secretary of foreign affairs, however, came with an important caveat. At one point, Madison acknowledged the “danger” that the president could “displace from office a man whose merits require that he should be continued in it.” For such an “abuse of his power” and “mal-administration,” however, Madison responded that the Constitution built in a safety valve: impeachment. As he put it, “the wanton removal of meritorious officers would subject [the president] to impeachment and removal from his own high trust.” https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2019/10/trump-impeachment-articles-marie-yovanovitch.html
