The real deal , whats missing from your formula is the company was adding book value with additional bonds when they gave the 6 additional shares for 1 shares you owned on the 16th.
Now if you bought after teh 16th it was already in a press release and filing so you had notice already that the share structure had changed.
PPS is determined by book value and the market when this actually takes place. also this is not a dividend or forward split it is addition shares based on a reorganization.
