In the picture in that last post, if you look at the white at the bottom right, that's the canal water (not snow). The tree grew branches all the way down to it.
Here's a pic approaching that spot (Notice my Aloe patch and coconut starts over on the right):
It changes all it's leaves during the winter but never goes completely bare. The new season's growth breaks out before the last leaves drop.
LOL... That's an old concrete pelican that belonged to my mother-in-law and has too much sentimental value to toss.
Here's another pic you might like. It's Bubba on the shelf I made him in the corner of the screen cage. Cats like to be up off the ground. You can just see the boathouse, and around the corner to the left is the approach shot posted up above.
