I acquired MME licenses in Las Vegas NV, 1 for production and 1 for cultivation. The licenses at the time had been awarded to Nevada state residences and each license was attached to a special use permit tied to a piece of land. Each license had to be connected with real estate in order for the applicants to be approved for the preliminary licenses (the beginning until they are finalized). I went through the entire application process, percentage changes on prior provisional licenses, acquisition, city conditions, state, county, dirt surveys, architectural, waivers, variances, lol trust me the industry is a shit show. My partner is currently doing consulting due to the 3 years of immense hands on experience. I am positive we can dig up or figure out info on the licenses in MD. Information is available before the announcements are publicly made, at least to the direct people involved so my guess is SNMN should already have an idea and definitely land purchased or leased at this point.
