on a more civilized note, i just recently found out that winery is a growing hobby/business in illinois. who'da thunk? they musta found some room between the corn rows.
in a small town festival last year, we did a bit of taste testing. i'm no expert but it was interesting what people can do. none tasted good to me but there was plenty of variation.
some of the best wine i've tasted was made by my wife's cousin in his basement. also some of the worst.
