The common thread was avarice, racism and fear, and neither Party had a monopoly on those. Given the authoritarian nature of conservatives and Republicans in general, it is hard to see how any particular GOP president, or GOP majority Congress, would have behaved any differently RE Indian policy or Japanese internment.

Now why don't you research it and give us the quotes from many Republicans deploring or voting against the actions at the time?
