The immigration bill from '13 looks awfully good from here. Ryan wouldn't even call a vote for what the Senate passed with GOP votes.
I agree. For some reason, Ryan had an aversion toward any immigration reform. That may have come from his apprenticeship under Jack Kemp and Sam Brownback from Kansas. Both of whom were pro immigration.
And it was Ryan again who put other major legislation ahead of the infrastructure bill because he was such a deficit hawk.
