#322275 RE: blackhawks #322272

where is our better cheaper healthcare, best people hired, clean coal boom, infrastructure 'plan' and deficit reduction on the way to balancing the budget in about 16 months?

Trump is suffering the fate of all presidential candidates after they get elected. No president, once having been elected, can do all of the things promised, without the help of Congress.

So, when I hear "Health Care For All" "Free College", "Immigration Reform" etc., etc., etc., I know it is all Bullshit.

In fact, not even what should be bi-partisan ideas can get done, for the most part. The ifra-structure bill that both parties were in favor of have seemed to fallen by the wayside.

In my opinion, our political system is ineffectual, simply because it has been a game of getting and retaining power or a majority. And once there, even then, they bicker and do nothing. For instance, Paul Ryan told Trump, if he agreed on (I forget what) that the next budget would include all the money for a wall. Well guess what? Ryan lied. Ryan was a "Never Trumper" from the get-go and much like McCain was subversive when it came to doing anything for Trump. They just did not like Trump and were not going to let him enjoy any legislative success. And when Democrats got the House majority, well, you could be assured that no Trump legislation would get approved.

So, when Delaney and Ryan say that what Harris, Booker, Sanders and Biden promise is unrealistic, they are telling the truth. And unless some middle of the road Democrat wins the primaries and gets the nomination, I am afraid it will be 4 more years of Trump. Yes, you read right "I am afraid" that Trump is the most sensible choice. And that, in itself, says a lot about what our politics has become. It is a damn circus.
