Less paperwork, less reporting requirements, less structure. Operating arms or entities of corporations are often structured into separate LLCs. Amazon is probably the largest example. And I haven’t looked at it but did they actually register as a foreign LLC? I’m not sure why a Texas LLC owned by a DE Corp. would be considered foreign but I don’t live in Texas and haven’t read up on their corp. commission rules/requirements. I do know that Texas is an incredibly friendly state for business with a low cost of living and a wide ranging, deep labor pool and a tremendous amount of production/manufacturing resources. Not to mention - much better positioned for national distribution.
