Gun expert Clyde Morgan recently fired off 30 rounds in 14 seconds using an AR-15, but said it’s still not as lethal as a traditional shotgun.
“You just saw what an AR-15 would do, now let’s see what a 119-year-old shotgun would do,” Morgan said.
It took Morgan 8 seconds to shoot six shells from his Winchester shotgun. He said the shotgun could do more damage than the AR-15.
“I shot six rounds with the semi-automatic shotgun. That’s 126 pellets versus 30 bullets,” Morgan said.
Contrary to popular belief, the AR-15 does not stand for assault rifle. AR-15 stands for Armalite Rifle, design 15. That long gun was first used in the Vietnam War, and later the company modified it to sell in the civilian market.
