That's probably not inaccurate. But his base is the radical right fringe. The moderates and conservatives (who thought in 2016 "let's give a business man and Washington outsider a chance") are becoming increasingly disgusted with Trump.

It's the fringe left and right that howl the loudest, but it's the moderate center that decides elections.
