I'm just stating their policies. One of them is not to allow drug ingredients in to food supply.
I'm not debating their motivation for drug classification
Whining about a drug classification is fruitless. Acknowledging a drug ingredient doesn't get put in food, is fruitful. Further acknowledging that FDA GRAS requires evidence of lengthy human consumption without harm, is even better.
It's funny how people keep citing toxicology reports. When the toxicology of the chemical CBD is the very concern the FDA has. The FDA does not care about "heavy metal" content. It has already told you you can't sell products containing this. It is your responsibility to adhere to these regulations.
