Well- I got up before dawn and watched the whole damn thing. First off I had no trouble understanding him. 2nd- in his opening remarks he made it clear what areas he would not speak too. It's not his fault that both sides tried to get around that. 3rd- it was very clear that this kind of situation is an uncomfortable one for him. Always has been.

This hearing is an example of "blaming the victim for the crime". The GOP only wanted to get in their sound bites- they had no interest in any answers except as fodder for Fox News. The Dems were better- some of them- but their questions sure could have been tailored better considering they knew he wasn't going to answer the ones they needed to jump start impeachment.

It wasn't a waste of time. They have every bit of enough information to start impeachment proceedings- whether or not they ever get to a damned vote. And- if they would like to win in 2020- I suggest they do just that!

Disparaging him for his age or hesitancy to not spell it out in black and white is not my problem.

Well, as an american, it kind of IS your problem, too. We paid millions for the report, and we got a few tidbits dipped in some double-negative sauce that needed a legal decoder ring.

Refusing to answer was chickenshit. He said, as near as I can interpret, that trump perjured himself with his hokey answers and non-answers to the written questions given to him. Presidents are not immune to perjury, if I remember my clinton history. So the committee just let that slide and decided it wasn't worthy of examination? Would have been of no use, as Mueller had long since gone rope-a-dope. "Hesitancy to spell it out in black and white" is not what he was hired for.

They did not hear what they wanted to hear so his hearing turned into white noise for them.
