Sure feels to me that is not fair, as it does not recognize the predominate contribution of any woman to our being.
We are each and every one first nurtured by a female. A woman. Each, before becoming an independent person, are cared for by a woman.
Yes, we come from a sperm (male) invading an egg. Not from an angel feeling hot for a virgin. And sure, each of us is first from both woman and man produce, but each and every one of us - before development to being a person - is first protected and fed inside a woman.
So where is the fairness, or justice, in using "Man/man" as a descriptive for all of us?
Woman is our earliest nurturer so wo... should come first. From man add ...an to recognize the male male contribution. Voila, we have woan.
Then, of course, one of the repercussions of recognizing woan as a more fair and just word than man for homo sapien would be feeling, and seeing, awoan as more suitable than amen.
I know it buzzes the brain.
