To whatever extent the US and UK respond to Israel is directly related to our own military and economic interests in the region. In this regard the enemy is correct is denying that there is any distinction between the Zionists and their Western partners. There's a reason the United States sends aid and military advisors to Israel all these years and it's not JUST because Congress and the administration are bought and paid for by lobbyists. It's because since the Cold War and well before that for that matter the regions energy resources are critical to Western economic growth.
There are much larger financial pressures on Congress and Bush than could possibly be exerted by Jews in Washinton.
