#313819 RE: blackhawks #313812

I had a good, then bad run with the bookies when I was a young buck and swore off gambling. Fantasy football with the same 12 guys for the last 20 years is what saved me from chasing parlays.

I like to play some blackjack from time to time. 200 is my limit though. My best night was walking out with 8k and I was there for 12 hours (completely spent), my worst nights usually end in an hour or less.

I learned early on to never go with friends because the IOU's begin to mount. I always get a kick out of the commercials depicting a night at the casino as wholesome fun.

I go two or three times a year when I get the itch. The last time I spent more than an hour was three years ago lol.

I won a few poker games in my time too, but I just don't have the patience for it anymore.

If all the degenerate gamblers want to come out of the woods and bet then that's fine with me. I'm a Cook County resident and I'd prefer that my real estate and business taxes at least level out for a bit, if not go down.

Pokies: the Rise of the Machines

Sep 10, 2018 | Business

Queen of The Nile, Australia's most seductive poker machine

There is a mass transfer of wealth afoot, a transfer of wealth from the poorer city suburbs and rural regions to the wealthier parts of Sydney.

Sadly that's the negative side of the valuable government revenue stream in New South Wales, Australia. It's here to stay, for sure.
