I was referring to the $1 million annual audit fee charged to my employer. Rapacious would be one of the kinder words used by the CEO and CFO when they annually hear the quote for the next year's fee, as we are one the cleanest, most conservative companies you would ever want to see. The Sarbanes/Oxley requirements have turned the audit process into a bad joke except for the CPA firms, who are laughing all the way to the bank.
