If TPL management did any transactions as an easy way to boost earnings
and thus get the share price higher, that would be disturbing, but also
very difficult to prove. Especially when management has made prior comments about not having to sell off land, because they would make the same amount by leasing it, and still own the land. Of course, selling
off any of the non-participating royalty trust land should never happen.
That is what makes such transactions suspect.
