At least you weren't jumping off of mountains with bat wings and a parachute strapped to your ass to get your jollies. ;-)

Though I couldn't imagine ever wanting to run into a forest fire to put it out.

When I was a kid we went to the preserves to do some shore fishing whenever we could. One early spring, found my way back into a corner of a lake that wasn't normally accessible due to the high brush.

You can probably guess where I'm going, but suffice it to say there was 10 feet of shoreline on fire before I even knew what was happening.

I jumped in the water and started flailing and kicking as much as I could to stop the fire. By that time, a couple of my friends saw what was happening and came over to help. I wound up taking my jacket off and using it as a makeshift bucket with my friends help and we stopped it.

adrenaline squared. Once was enough for me.
