Members of Congress are vetted by those who vote for them. Many do choose to reveal their tax returns and, of course, all presidents since Nixon have done so. A national vetting if you will.

Actual fairness demands that you be as outraged as you would be if either Obama or Clinton withheld their tax returns.

You would lose your 'wager', bigly. And I'm pretty certain that you know that.

What we're looking for is kompromat that may influence foreign policy decisions, that may motivate a president to speak glowingly of 'strong and powerful' denials from a Russian thug.

The law says 'shall turn over....'. Purpose and motive are nowhere mentioned in the law that the Treasury secretary is violating.

Pretty ironic for you to speak of empty brain cavities when so very many of your posts reveal so much word salad misinformation and so many conspiracy theories taking up residence in your own VERY spacious digs.

DrHarleyboy, again nothing in your

"I tell you what, let's be FAIR and go through EVERY member of congress's tax returns, financial documents, stock trades, wire transfers, public donations, charity gifts;
I'll wager that your President Trump is cleaner than 99% of ALL Democrats and probably close to the same of Republicans.
I'm sure if we dig through your last 10 years we'll find a federal crime or two, I almost guarantee it.
But the problem is you aren't legally allowed to just go "looking for a crime".
Trump is guilty of one misdemeanor, living rent rent free in your spacious brain cavity for free ;)
"

but your own attempt at distraction and obfuscation.

Mr. Davis said in an interview that what Mr. Trump and his allies were doing was reminiscent of his own days working as a counsel in the Clinton White House during congressional investigations led by Republicans. In this case, he said, the goal is distracting from the fact that the president was reimbursing Mr. Cohen.
P - “What we would do is focus on a little trip-up, or pebble or something,” Mr. Davis said, with the intention of getting “everybody to talk about it so the big picture is obscured.”
P - “When we were facing a serious media storm,” he said, “we would do everything we could to change the subject to something trivial.” The bigger picture, Mr. Davis said, “is we have proven beyond any doubt that the president of the United States committed a felony by writing those checks.”

DrHarleyboy, There is no refuge for you in your false accusation of a forest of hate on our side.
