HDP's are a napalm bomb. It's powerful stuff, which is why our bodies do not produce a lot of it. To wash so much of it systemically through living tissue requires cautious study, hence the safety interims. It's also why the PKs of B are so favorable. It doesn't linger too long. But possible side effects need to be well studied, as the FDA has noted. I don't think it is too much of a worry. Our ABSSSI Phase 2 was encouraging.
