Yes many 2 socket Opteron systems will beat a single socket QC Xeon. I don't think that will be enough to hold market share and I don't think that is something to brag about. Opteron can not compete in the volume server market without drastically cutting price. I don't remember ever seeing you mention any investment position in AMD so maybe this is of no concern to you. If you have a position you might want to think about what falling ASPs will do to your share price.
