My experience suggest the candlesticks "bodies" are what counts not just the "wicks".I will stand corrected if this is not the case and it will be example 1 on my list fair enough?

The wicks don't overlap actually. There is a mini gap between previous close of 4.20 and the low of day today which was only 4.25.
5 cent gap.
