I doubt any of his “debt” holders give a rip. They have no issue with the stock getting pumped on a nonsense buyback narrative....nor are they going to care much if they bought some token amount of stock.
What they are risking is an SEC suspension if they push this story too hard. Rotman apparently understands that the “story” of a buyback and going so far as to purchase a token amount of stock can have an impact on the pps far beyond any actual financial benefit.
But it is always short lived.
The only thing that tweet did today for me was to confirm this is entirely a stinkie pinkie play.
It will be interesting to see how this acquistion plays out...convertible preferred perhaps??? That would be a stinkie pinkie penny move....and doom current common holders eventually.
But while the music plays it will be tradable...until the music stops.
