zeev agree its not that simple, i
was simplyfiying for general audience. Yes im fully aware of those serious issues you mentioned....the sterility factor i think has to be studied in depth and the issues of cells requiring contant rejuvenation even more study. (although if its a choice of sterile or dead id take sterile!)
But yes, kind of why i menitoned theres ALOT of work to do.
I agree they should try for secondary NOW at the 15-20 range
(maybe they are behind the scenes?) Hopefully if they do they wont annouce the day the market melts down!(IF it does)
i agree the stem cell stuff is too hot now, but they are proceeeding there.....perhaps if they have something thats "too big" (i mean could trounce) for politics they will announce it then, or jan 2005 if a dem wins

Zeev,

From an interview 8/31/2003:

WSR: In your current cash position, do you have enough funds and resources available to support and move your programs?

GERN: As you know, we have done the hard thing. We completed two reductions in force, one last year and one at the beginning of this year. Those are painful things that you don’t want to do unless you have to. We did it to conserve our burn rate, and to focus on product development. We were able to retain the employees who were critical to product development. We raised some money in April and we have funds at our current burn rate to last through 2005. We will be ready to raise more cash at opportunistic times. We usually keep 2 or 3 years of cash in the bank and we will continue to adhere to that strategy.

Zeev:

Thanks. Your post clears smokes for me in terms of GERN's state of affairs.
