Hi THall. Happy holiday! When short interest short, does that reflect in the float or is that a separate share structure?

Hey. Can you answer about clay trader a week or so ago saying breaking the SMA down in trips and we being in double 00's all week. and also about short interest..is that a separate share structure, or are those shares included in what's with DOS and FINRA have on record? (DOS) means dept of state.
