I would sound like a conspiracy advocate to put forth anything other that an observant guess. All I can say is it seems like a pattern whenever the share price escalates to have outrageously low bids begin to be posted in the early morning. The intention most likely is to catch someone selling at the bid without the seller noticing that it was orders of magnitude lower than the previous days close. That could trigger a panic sell off without anyone looking at the tactics employed.
