You've yet to post a link to support your belief, which is all that it is unless or until you post some evidence to back it up.

Figure 1 shows the trend in global temperature compared to changes in the amount of solar energy that hits the Earth. The sun's energy fluctuates on a cycle that's about 11 years long. The energy changes by about 0.1% on each cycle. If the Earth's temperature was controlled mainly by the sun, then it should have cooled between 2000 and 2008.

Hey dumbo I never said or even inferred that the Sun wasn't the main driver of energy/heat and radiation on the earth's surface that's precisely why I asked you to understand that sentence. Obviously you have failed basic climate science. So I'll try to dumb it down for you -

The sun has been cooling the last 35 years - understand?
The earth's temperature has continued to rise while the sun has been cooling - understand?

What has caused the earth's temperature to rise - it's man made by putting more CO2 into the air and now with increased temperature more methane. Up until that time the climate has been able to balance with very slow changes over time. It's changing at a much faster rate and the ocean and animal's can't cope with this rapid change or once again are you confused?
