to all longs - this is the day for which the expression "keep the faith" was minted. That great wind that blew over the USA was the exhalation of the collective sighs of relief emanating from our
lungs. It's been tough, holding that in for all these years, but
the pink finally replaced the blue
of my face and people no longer walk on the other side of the street as I approach them. My friends are now calling me up after they received a copy of the announcement of the sale and are now hankering to get back into my good graces - just kidding, of course, since I only told 3 people
whom I kept au courant re the stock over all of these years.
I find it difficult to believe that the announcment of the sale was greeted with disbelief as to its validity by those who had nothing good to say about the company anyway. As a firm believer of res ipsi loquitor (?sp), or"the thing speaks for itself", let's allow the stock to have the last word in the matter, since it does address the core matter (s/p) with far greater eloquence than mere words could muster. Their words now simulate the sound of a tree in the forest falling, but no one is there to hear it fall, just as their contrariness no longer has a subject matter. I feel that the day belongs to the longs who have labored long in the Rim vineyards and are now collecting the sweet taste of its wine. A toast to all of us, esp. those who shouldered the burden of
maintaining a presence on the stock board. My hats off to all of you in appreciation for your thankless labors, save for the sense of being on the right side of the truth throughout. Onwards and upwards!!
