I am not convinced that the republicans will ever turn on him in sufficient numbers to convict him in impeachment, no matter what crimes he has done. Obstruction, collusion, hell he is obviously at guillotine level on those already. But the republicans fear him like rooster fears facts... they are past getting a two by four beside the head. And the republicans are happy to vote against 70% public opinion level. They have demonstrated that already. Trump would love the coverage... after all, he is all about face time on TV, not ideology, and any publicity is good publicity in his bubble.
If they do not indict him as a sitting president... well, unless mueller/sdny convinces the AG to try the court angle with a policy change, trump will probably have a stack of indictments about as high as the Washington Monument waiting for him when he leaves office.
I kind of doubt he will resign, even though I am sure he would come up with one of his insane rationalizations if he did. (obama's fault or some variance)
I am wondering what it would take to get a 25th amendment action... apparently acting like a raving lunatic isn't sufficient.
Assassination (or euthanasia, more properly, in his case) is unlikely because no one wants to make him a martyr (the left) or leave the office to a latent homosexual (the right). Plus when one takes out a crime boss, retaliation would be sure and swift, and there are a lot of hated democrats.
I feel like the trump kaleidoscope of removal hopes is not as likely as most of would like to have happen.
