The rotary engine may have good power density but if a vertical aircraft needs x amount of power then high power density is secondary to absolute power.
The definition for absolute power is "viewed or existing independently and not in relation to other things; not relative or comparative" People think that because the rotary has more power density compared to a the 4 stroke engine that its the best engine for the flying car. This is a false analysis.
