I keep reading this story and other versions of this story and I am not sure how to understand this. Arafat took x number of dollars and invested it in Palestinian enterprises about 69 of them and now the fund manager is trying to privatize those investments. Does that mean these are public moneys that are being privatized?
Is this money Arafat's or not? Did he take it and he will not give it back or did he invest it in the Palestinian people. Seems like investing in 69 enterprises might actually create jobs, which the last time I checked was better then welfare.
