Mueller vs the SDNY vs the NY AG vs the Manhattan DA
The Mueller Report is narrowly focused on Russia's involvement in the 2016 presidential election. Period. That's it. It seems somewhat obvious he has passed other crimes off to various US Attorney offices, most notably the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of Virginia.
The SDNY and the EDV are now the hot spots. It is only rumored what they're working on but indications are that's where the serious indictments will come from.
And then there are the state and local AGs and prosecutors. In particular, the NY AG and the Manhattan DA seemed primed and anxious to go right after the Trump mob.

Mr. Trump had a productive meeting with Mr. Abrams on Tuesday, according to a White House official and a person close to Mr. Abrams. But after it took place, Mr. Trump learned of Mr. Abrams’s pointed criticisms of the president when he was running for president, the administration official said. Among those criticisms was a column headlined “When You Can’t Stand Your Candidate,” which appeared in May 2016 in The Weekly Standard.
Mr. Trump has been increasingly focused on who was with him or against him during his campaign, according to several people who have spoken with him in recent days.
Mr. Tillerson had argued strongly for Mr. Abrams. So had Jared Kushner, Mr. Trump’s son-in-law and a senior adviser. Senator Tom Cotton, Republican of Arkansas who is closely aligned with friends of Mr. Abrams’, and some members of the pro-Israel lobbying group Aipac, had been reaching out to Democratic senators to impress upon them the importance of Mr. Abrams receiving Senate confirmation.
Aides to Mr. Trump did not respond to an email seeking comment.
If Elliot Abrams had not been a critic of Trump it seems likely he would have been Tillerson's deputy. Abrams of the PNAC 'All the way with USA' 'invade Iraq' warmonger boys.
Since you share a distaste of the PNAC people (Bolton was a prominent one too you would know) with liberals here you seem to fit, on the foreign policy front anyway, snugly with the new group of young women Democrats. Ilhan Omar for one.
Trump likely would have been ok with Tillerson's Abrams pick if Abrams had not said earlier that Trump was unsuitable. Abrams was right on that score. Trump has Bolton as a top guy. Is Trump a closet neocon? He certainly as president is not an enemy of theirs.
Aside: What does MIC mean? Is it 'madmen in charge'? Something like that?? If so why don't you just say it instead of creating a damn mystery for at least one.
