mks, Yes, end it. Or, say that he's not at liberty to discuss the AF in any capacity. That is much preferable, despite being cornered, to saying something which is NOT true to the guy (such as not knowing where the unaudited numbers came from). I choose to chalk that up to his temper, though, and the fact that he may not have liked the reporter's approach.
But again, he's the CEO of a PUBLIC company and this kind of thing could be handled better. And should be. Regardless. I assume that the CEO role is sort of like a part-time annoyance to him, though, along with his real preferred duties of deal-making. So I try to remind myself of that.
