Blueheel: the very definition of having "skin in the game" means that you have given up something of your own. Drawing an enormous salary and working hard is not having skin in the game. Taking a smaller salary and stock options in place of salary that would pay off if things go well would be having skin in the game. "Incentivized."
I have great admiration for Dr NP to leave his home country and settle in the US, and educate himself. I have no idea what his personal needs for his money are. Look what happened to many mid level managers of brokerage firms in 2008/9. All those shares of Merrill went poof. He may have a need for liquidity that’s none of our business. I’d imagine whatever he bought would be restricted.
