My Guess: I believe routing BUYBACK via MAX ( I recall reading that in some of our great DD). Makes sense that MAXM showing on ask, wud cause some panic selling, but they there in order to get their BIds filled- BUYBACKS have to occur on the Bid! I might be wrong or I might be right, but either way, I have all the confidence in the world and did expect a Pullback after running pretty much from 04 to 155 in 3 days!
