Presumed innocent until proven guilty is a legal term requiring first and foremost, charges. Doesn't matter what the media or opinion writers believe, it's what the legal system adjudicates that matters.

Lots of Trump associates lying about a lot of Russian contacts charged and convicted on multiple counts, for example, were presumed innocent until convicted guilty.
