JimLur, arizona1's Onion piece was NOT mockery of conix, or of anyone here. It was about Schultz. Nothing to do with the board, yet conix, and you, are both ignoring that. And for conix to call it a lie in context was just stupid. Yes, arizona1, then accepted the Onion piece was mockery as every one here has known that's what the Onion does, for years, and accepted that mockery also happens here. As it does in any relatively open and free environment. Even among friends.

So to this board.

Yes, you both suffer mockery here, but what the hell, that's real world stuff, eh. It happened to Schultz. In much of tv, movie, bar and family you find mockery. That's one of the perils (or fun) every one faces in the real world, It's also then one of the things which makes this board more like the real world than some conservative boards on iHub which take the easy (could say sissy) way out by simply banning those they could instead tolerate (as we do more) and mock, as happens here where it's seen to be deserved, so rightly or wrongly in one sense fair.

You don't get upset with Trump's bullying, yet you do when you suffer what some others see as a bit of fun. You could even take it as meaning to positively encourage you to fix your mistakes.

Bottom line if you feel unfairly treated then make more of an effort to eliminate the reason you know you are being unfairly mocked for. Or cop it.

I think Conix has done a good job trying to educate you and others.

You and conix should get a room or start your own board. Why do you post here? Neither one of you write anything that's of interest to the rest of us. You should stick to the wing nut boards where your kind of stupid is appreciated.

Oh boo hoo! Poor little snowflake!

Trump supporter melts down in self-pitying op-ed: ‘White men are the most discriminated against group of people’

The Tennessean has published an editorial by a Trump supporter named Ryan Moore who claims white men who support the president are “the most discriminated against group of people” living in the United States today.

At the start of his editorial, Moore bitterly complains that anonymous people on social media websites have said mean things about him when they see a photo of him in his “Make America Great Again” hat.

“Many people have wished me dead, made threats and often call me racist simply because I support the wall and the President of the United States,” he writes.

Moore then pivots to what he sees as the single biggest problem in America today: Racial injustice directed against white men.

“White men are the most hated and discriminated against group of people in the United States now,” he writes. “If you don’t believe that, you simply aren’t paying attention or looking at it objectively.”

In reality, statistics compiled by American law enforcement officials show that hate crimes targeting both black Americans and Jews in 2017 both outnumbered the total number of hate crimes that targeted white people, despite the fact that there are vastly more white people as a percentage of the population than there are blacks and Jews.

Moore concludes his op-ed by calling liberals to be more tolerant of white Trump supporters — and then says that he relishes making them angry by wearing his MAGA hat.

“I truly would like everyone to be civil and respectful to one another, but I must admit in one way I get a kick out of the hate I get from liberals by wearing my MAGA hat — it shows either they misunderstand or they’re just closed-minded, hateful and intolerant,” he writes.

Democrats Think a Border Wall is Immoral and Infanticide is a Right

by Erick Erickson

This is the state of play into 2020. Democrats have decided to blast through their own historic norms and go straight to radical socialism on the economic front and nihilist social policy. They are, in multiple states, rushing to expand abortion laws to include infanticide immediately after birth while declaring a border wall immoral.

They are championing wealth confiscation and massive income taxes, which would actually be paid by upper income professionals, not the billionaires the left claims. Why? Billionaires mostly play the capital gains tax rate, not the income tax rate.

Howard Schultz, the leftwing billionaire running for President, has some pretty convincing polling that a significant portion of Democrats would rather go with an independent centrist than a progressive Democrat like Elizabeth Warren or Kamal Harris. From radical social policy to radical economics, Americans are not as quite ready for the revolution as the left thinks.

The Democrats’ twisting of morality to oppose a secure border while supporting infanticide is a disgusting turn of events. But it also shows a path forward — federalism. The Democrats are doing what they are doing because they are increasingly convinced the GOP is going to lock in a long term conservative majority. So they are laying state level ground work for abortion rights.

We can be outraged by what they are doing and how they are doing it, but we should at least be willing to encourage their embrace of federalism and we should at least be optimistic the left foresees a continued, if not strengthened, conservative coalition on the Supreme Court.
