I read an interesting article today in the paper. New research suggests (but doesn't prove) that a gene from a Neanderthal (of all things) led to the development of a larger brain size in subsequent generations of (presumably) interbred Homo Sapiens. What this means of course, is that you may not be a descendant of a Neanderthal after all, but the rest of us of European origin may just well be. This article raises other issues which will offend the PC.
