Bay State-based Jordan’s Furniture opened its first store in Connecticut the other day, and billionaire Warren Buffett was there for the ribbon-cutting. Buffett, whose company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns Jordan’s, joined the chain’s pony-tailed CEO Eliot Tatelman at the event in New Haven. The new store, like others in Reading; Natick; Avon; Nashua, N.H.; and Warwick, R.I., doesn’t just sell loveseats and dining sets. There’s also a ropes course, a light and water display, pizza joint, and ice cream shop.
