Beware that shares can go to zero almost instantly when (if) the Plan of Reorganization is approved by the court. The cancellation of Eastman Kodak common stock a few years ago is a perfect example of that.
These deals are dangerous. You won't see the smart money buying Sears. Odds of success are less than 50%. Much less. But lots of fun, and instructive to watch from afar.
