DTL, I understand how irritating these bashers are [gopacks and myself, go thru all their posts...disecting which ones we should delete], we read EVERYTHING they post... we feel your pain.
If you have a real problem with these people, and you feel they are constantly breaking the rules... I advise you to message Matt_Admin your concerns. Admin is the person with the power to ban someone from a board, send someone to jail or terminate someone's account.
In the past, there were some problem posters who were spamming the board and violating TOS and TOU rules repeatedly. I directed Admin to the problem the board was having with nanopatent, Captain Kirk and Lord Vader... and these people were dealt with accordingly.
