I saw this same reply on another board and they said that the one in Seattle deals with the Dinar right now.

This from one poster about exchanging it. Plus, once it hits the Forex. Everybody will exchange it.

I was at Citi bank today being added to one of my wife's account and asked the branch manager about exchanging the dinar once it hits forex. He said I needed an account (already done) and that they would check the exchange rate, complete the transaction and take 1% for their trouble. He said, "Very simple and don't go to B of A to open an account

I have been corresponding with HSBC Bank USA over the last several days about opening a USD account and asking about foreign exchange rate charges, etc. I asked about the IQD once it opens on the world currency market or forex, what branch in my area I would go to once it becomes convertible, etc. This was their answer.

"Thank you for your recent correspondence to HSBC Bank USA, N.A".

"At this time, HSBC Bank USA, N.A. does not sell or purchase Iraqi
Dinar. We do not know when or if we will be exchanging Iraqi Dinar
in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause".

Sincerely,

This is the same response that I have seen from many different posters.
I know of an HSBC Bank in Seatlle that will do it now.
