They are still in court for eminent domain rights from 12 years ago. Some properties are only 15 feet wide. ;-)

I can't imagine them running a spiked fence eyesore along the 118 miles of river frontage of the Big Bend Natl Park. Rafting & kayaking through the canyons is a big draw for the tourists.
