ISIS are far from defeated. Why does Trump lie about that?
You are talking Apples and Oranges. Trump pulled out of Syria, because our job was done there. You are talking about Afghanistan.
Just one more little bit of info for you. I would worry more about ISIS in Syria, than us leaving. I remember Viet Nam, where the Turks started the practice of taking souvenirs from the enemy they killed. The necklaces of ears and fingers and pouches from scrotums was a Turkish reminder to the Viet Cong that they were not anyone that practiced the "niceties" of war. They were the most feared fighters in that war.
I doubt that many of the ISIS crew would want to meet the 100 virgins minus their scrotums. If Turkey goes into Syria, I doubt you will see ISIS flood that country. If you think Assad is barbaric, you don't know anything about the Turks. Too bad they do not take a presence in Afghanistan as well.
If you want some idea, watch the movie Midnight Express. Not nearly as brutal as Turkish Troops, but you will get the idea. One example. Instead of using shackles to prevent escape. they break your feet if you are caught trying.
