I never said that. That is a lie.
Swiss, You probably never bought any bonds. It is not an easy process unless your bond broker lists them. The few times I was in the market I never say LBI or LBIE bonds. LBIE is understandable as they are foreign issue. You need to look at annualized rate of return. I got a 100% gain on my bonds or about 26 cents on the dollar. My annualized rate of return was over 30% as I recall. I could have waited until now and got 40 cents on the dollar but the extra 6 years would lowered the annualized rate of return. I chose to take the 100% gain and invest elsewhere for the next 6 years.
